Even the anniversary of the 150th anniversary of the Prague Fire Brigade was not very calm. In addition to a relatively large number of more serious interventions in the territory of the capital city of Prague, there were also interventions in Algeria, France and Iran. Among the more demanding ones in Prague was the fire on the roof of a department store on Černý Most.

On 25th February, units from all Prague stations in cooperation with the volunteer unit Kolovraty and company unit Barvy Laky, fire on a roof structure measuring 30 × 60 meters at the HASSO department store in Breitcetlova street. The fire destroyed the entire roof structure and extinguishing water also damaged the interiors in the lower floors of the building. The fire was caused by workers welding roof asphalt on the roof with a flame form a propanebutane burner.

The positive thing about this case is that the flames were prevented from entering the building and also that there were no injuries. Neither the persons in the building nor any of the firefighters involved.
