#2007

In this year St. Florian was very merciful to the Prague firefighters and this gives us the space to point out various aspects of the daily life of firefighters on duty.

Several thousand interventions a year place high demands on firefighters not only physically and professionally, but it is often demanding mentally as well. We will look a little under the hood of their daily lives to see how they prepare to withstand all situations with honor. Among firefighters you will find, for example, diving specialists, climbers, masters in working with chainsaws and other equipment, crane operators, locksmiths, electricians, etc. Training, which many improve in their personal time off by working in their specialty or sport, makes them stand up professionally. Daily duties include cleaning the station, its maintenance and various improvements. On the other hand, the most popular activities include food and various festive moments which firefighters are able to spice up with cultural stimuli from their own ranks. Team-building often takes place even in their time off.

In order for a firefighter to be able to provide a long-term stable performance at a high level while protecting our lives, property and possibly animals, it is necessary to maintain the possibility of fulfilling all his basic needs in a balanced professional, physical and mental level.
