#2012

This year, especially at the beginning, there was a noticeable increase in the number of assistance to the Police of the Czech Republic for the disposal of booby trap systems and this year there was also an exceptional case of a fire in an airliner at the airport in Ruzyně.

The explosion and subsequent fire was recorded on June 9th at Ruzyně Airport in hangar F after 9 p.m. Within thirty minutes, the ATR 42 aircraft burned down. Another aircraft of the same type and the roof of the hall were damaged. The cause of the fire was failure to comply with safety regulations by one of the workers during the repair of the machine.

Also in this case, cooperation trainings with otherwise self-employed specialized units of company firefighters proved useful. This time, the units of Prague firefighters were more or less auxiliary, providing mainly the ventilation of the hangar and providing for the intervention of airport specialists.
