#2022

This year brought relief from covid measures to the activities of Prague firefighters, but part of the firefighters were on the contrary busy helping in the refugee crisis from the warring Ukraine. The fire, which we will mention this time, originated in the premises of another of our security forces – the army.

Before 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27th, professional and volunteer firefighters attended the premises of the Central Military Hospital in Prague 6. The roof of the Pavilion A wing was on fire. Three firefighters were injured in a fire at the Central Military Hospital in Prague and were treated at the scene. Rescue corps evacuated over 50 people, none of whom were injured. In the afternoon, fire crews were only searching for hidden outbreaks and extinguishing charred rafters.

Prague firefighters again above standard helped in minimizing the subsequent damage after the fire, when they moved expensive medical devices outside the damaged object and provisionally covered the roof with tarpaulins.
